In the compelling drama Proof, Catherine was bound for a successful college career till her father became ill. As daughter of a brilliant but mentally disturbed and recently deceased mathematician, she tries to come to grips with her possible inheritance: his insanity. Complicating matters are one of Catherine's father's ex-students who wants to search through his papers to prove her father's brilliance and her estranged sister who shows up to help settle his affairs.
